Summary: Dracula - Chapter 6: The Beatiful Lady of Hythe

A few days later, Arthur West returned to his home in Hythe. Although Jonathan and Mina did not say anything about their fears, they read the newspaper every day. One morning, Jonathan saw this: A story titled "The Beatiful Lady of Hythe", which described all the strange things that were happening in the city and mentioned a woman who was found by some children. The girl was pale and had marks on his throat Mine was wondering if that beautiful woman was his friend Lucy. She was afraid because the children was victims of Lucy. Jonathan also was scared. So he sent a telegram to Professor Van Helsing.
Van Helsing went quickly to the house of the Harkers barely he had reached London. He said was not much time left and he would do everything he could. That night, the Proffesor asked Jonathan about the things Harker told him about the Castle Dracula. Van Helsing told Jonathan he was lucky to leave the castle dracula, because they had terrible powers of vampires and Count Dracula was the most powerful of them all. He also talked about all he knew about vampires. They live on blood and its victims die when they lose all their blood. Then they were transformed into vampires. Mina understood how that is what had happened to Lucy.
There was only one way in which Lucy could rest in peace without being converted into a Vapire: open Lucy's coffin and drive a sharp piece of wood through her heart.
Arthur, Jonathan and Van Helsing went to the cemetery that night. They were in search of Lucy West. Her coffin was empty. Arthur did not know where his wife was. Jonathan replied that she needed blood and she was looking for his second victim. Van Helsing said that what was said by Jonatahan true, and they wait in the cemetery for Lucy come back.
And so it happened a moment later. They saw something moving near her coffin. Lucy had blood on her lips. She smiled and they could see his white teeth. Lucy whispered to her husband that go over to her and asked Arthur to never abandon them. He walked a step behind. Van Helsing held up a long cross, and Lucy his face change. She was not smiling and his face was cruel. The vampire leap into the vault. The vault was closed. However, she inmediately disappeared inside.
Van Helsing opened his bag and took from it the wooden and sharp hammer. He was going to kill the vampire. Professor told Arthur she is not the woman that he love. Once we nailed the stake in the heart of Lucy, Van Helsing told Arthur that now she was sleeping in peace, and he could kiss his wife. Along with Jonathan, they closed the coffin. When they left the vault in the daylight, Van Helsing said that they began his work. They must find Count Dracula to destroy him forever.
