Summary: Dracula - Chapter 2: A Prisoner in the Castle

The castle dracula had high walls, and it was very dark because there were no lights in any of the windows.
Jonathan Harker opened the door that he had heard unlock before. Then appeared to him an old tall man, who had a lamp in his hand. He welcomed Jonathan to the Castle Dracula.
Count Dracula was strong and his hands was as cold as ice. Jonathan followed him into a room without windows. There are two opened doors. Through one door, he can saw food and drink on a table.
Count Dracula was waiting for Johathan to eat when he was on the room. The Count spoke good english and he asked whit Harker many questions. Jonathan was very tired, so the count told him go to sleep .
That night, he had terrible dreams. When he woke up , he saw a note in that Count Dracula was telling him he had to leave him alone.
The Count left Jonathan a written warning: Do not open any locked doors.
Jonathan went to the Count s library. It was full of books about England.
Count Dracula returned when Jonathan was reading. The Count said that he had to talk about the new house that Jonathan had found for him. Count Dracula said that he should to stay near the thombs of the dead.
Harker was terrible dreams once more. When he woke up early to shave him, he heard a voice talking to him. After he had cut with the shaver he turned back and he noted that theirs was Count Dracula. Jonathan did not understand how he could not see his face reflected in the mirror.
The Count saw the blood on his face, and said: "Take care, it is dangerous to cut yourself in Castle Dracula. And the mirror is not needed here".
Jonathan had been left alone in the castle again. The spent the day looking around the Castle Dracula. Then, he was very restless. He wondered to himself if he was a prisoner in this strange and terrible place.

Summary: Dracula - Chapter 1: The Road to Castle Dracula

Jonathan Harker was a lawyer who lived in London. In 1875 he received a letter from Transylvania, a town in eastern Europe. The letter was sent for a rich man called Count Dracula. He wanted to buy a house near London.
Count Dracula asked Jonathan to find an old house with a long garden, without matter the price it would. Jonathan found an old house to the east of London. He wrote to Dracula about it and he agreed to buy the house.
Count Dracula invited Jonathan Harker to visit him in his castle of Transylvania. Despite the invitation, he did not want to go because Transylvania was far away from London and he was going to get married to his girlfiend Mina. He did not want to leave England until they were married.
But Mina told Jonathan that he should go. She said that the Count Dracula was a rich man.
This is why Mina told Jonathan to do business with the Count. Because of this, he accepted the Count Dracula's invitation.
When Jonathan arrived in Transylvania he visited Bistritz, a small town there was. Then he saw the Dracula Castle high up in the mountains of the place. He came to the inn in Bistritz, where nobody spoke English.
All who were there were silent when Jonathan asked about Count Dracula. After that, Jonathan read all the vampire stories that were written in the book that Mina gave him.
Jonathan was heading towards the Castle Dracula in a coach. He began to have strange thoughts from the trip started.
The coach was heading ever faster, but in a narrow road it stopped. Then, a carriage appeared and stopped, and the driver asked who was the englishman. The driver came from Castle Dracula and took Jonathan his bag. In a moment, he was sitting beside the driver of the carriage and the four black hourses.
The carriage had no lights. Black clouds covered the moon. The driver laughed when wolves was howling around them.
When Jonathan arrived at Castle Dracula, the carriage and the driver had dissapeared.
